CorsixTH

CorsixTH is an open-source remake of Bullfrog’s iconic 1997 simulation game Theme Hospital, designed to bring the classic experience to modern computers with better performance and updated features. The project faithfully recreates the core gameplay while enhancing it with improvements such as high-resolution support and a built-in level editor. To play CorsixTH, users need the original Theme Hospital, which provide the graphics and sound assets used by the engine.

The remake includes virtually every feature found in the original game, allowing players to complete the full campaign from start to finish just as they could in Theme Hospital. All diseases, rooms, and objects are present, along with familiar in-game events like emergencies, epidemics, earthquakes, and VIP visits. Classic management tools, music playback, video sequences, and even the well-known cheat options have been preserved to retain the charm of the 1997 release.

CorsixTH also expands the original experience with several modern upgrades. Players can design custom levels and full campaigns, enjoy HD graphics with smooth zooming, and take advantage of unlimited save slots supported by multiple autosaves. The engine allows the use of personal music tracks, offers the option to clear destroyed rooms for a fee, and features improved game logic to create a smoother simulation.
