Enderal: The Shards of Order

Enderal: The Shards of Order is a total conversion mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, created by SureAI as the successor to Nehrim: At Fate’s Edge. After five years of work, the mod was released on July 3, 2016, initially only in German. An English release followed on August 16, 2016.

The story begins with the player character, a refugee attempting to reach Enderal aboard a merchant ship. Near the end of the journey, a mysterious veiled apparition appears, leading to the death of the protagonist’s companion and causing the player to be thrown overboard. They awaken on Enderal’s shoreline, discover newfound magical abilities, and travel to Ark — the capital — in hopes of understanding and mastering these powers.

In December 2016, SureAI revealed that Enderal would receive an expansion titled Forgotten Stories, which finally released in 2019. It adds two new questlines tied to factions from the original mod, along with a hidden alternate ending to the main story.
