Description
Nehrim: At Fate’s Edge is a total conversion mod built on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, created over four years by the German modding team SureAI. The game launched in German on June 9, 2010, and an English version followed on September 11, 2010, both earning strong praise. It later received a sequel in 2016 titled Enderal: The Shards of Order.
Unlike Oblivion, which offers fast travel and a level-scaling system where enemies grow stronger alongside the player, Nehrim removes fast travel entirely in favor of teleportation spells linked to special runes, and features enemies with fixed levels to highlight the player’s sense of progression. The game also abandons Oblivion’s skill-based leveling system, opting instead for a more traditional experience-point approach. In addition, Nehrim takes place in a completely original setting unrelated to The Elder Scrolls, with its own world, races, lore, and narrative.
