Penumbra: Necrologue

Penumbra: Necrologue is a total conversion mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent, released in 2014 by CounterCurrent Games. It was in development for 2 years.

It is an unofficial sequel to Penumbra: Requiem, and like the earlier entries, maintains a strong emphasis on exploration and survival.

The gameplay remains consistent with the rest of the Penumbra series. The game includes puzzles and numerous monsters that cannot be defeated, requiring players to think strategically and rely on hiding or fleeing to survive. Nearly every object in the environment — doors, drawers, boxes, bricks, and more — can be interacted with.

On October 31, 2015, the add-on Penumbra: Twilight of the Archaic was released. The developers describe it as a prequel or spin-off to Necrologue.
