Description

The Stanley Parable is an adventure, narrative-driven video game created by developers Davey Wreden and William Pugh. Players control Stanley, a silent protagonist, as he navigates through an office environment, guided by a voiceover narration provided by British actor Kevan Brighting. Throughout the game, players face branching paths and must decide whether or not to follow the narrator's instructions. Ignoring the narrator’s guidance leads to unique story outcomes, and depending on the choices made, players will experience different endings before the game restarts.

Originally released on July 31, 2011, The Stanley Parable began as a free mod for Half-Life 2, developed by Wreden. Later, Wreden teamed up with Pugh to release a full game based on the Source engine. This full game expanded upon the original mod by adding new areas and branching storylines while also improving the graphics and overall presentation.

The version proposed here is the 2011 mod, which remains free to play. If you're a fan of The Stanley Parable, it can be interesting to try it to see the differences with the full game.

Additionally, I suggest trying out the official The Stanley Parable Demo, which offers a separate experience from the main game. You can install the demo for free on Steam.
