Wolfram

Wolfram is a fan-remake of Wolfenstein 3D, one of the pioneering FPSs created by id Software in 1992. Developed by Chain Studios, this fangame was released in 2012.

Originally, Wolfenstein 3D consisted of two sets of episodes. The primary trilogy includes "Escape from Castle Wolfenstein," "Operation: Eisenfaust," and "Die, Führer, Die!" The second set, titled The Nocturnal Missions, consists of "A Dark Secret," "Trail of the Madman," and "Confrontation." Players take on the role of William "B.J." Blazkowicz, a Polish-American spy on a mission to defeat the Nazi regime. In "Escape," Blazkowicz is captured while attempting to find plans for Operation Eisenfaust (Iron Fist) and must escape from Castle Wolfenstein. "Operation: Eisenfaust" follows his discovery of the Nazis’ plan to create an undead mutant army, and "Die, Führer, Die!" culminates in a dramatic showdown with Adolf Hitler, who is encased in a robotic suit armed with chain guns.

The game is divided into levels, each designed as a flat plane with a grid-based layout of rooms and corridors. These levels are typically themed after Nazi bunkers and buildings. To complete each level, players must navigate through the area and reach an elevator to progress to the next.
